Water-Based Heat Transfers, or Direct-To-Film Transfers, can be a great alternative to screenprinting when order details don’t match up with the minimum order quantities or other specifications that screenprinting requires.Â
In Screen Printing, each color needed to create a finished print requires it’s own screen. In order to maximize efficiency and provide the best cost per item we have to require a minimum order quantity dependent on the number of screens required for a finished print.Â
With Water Based Transfers each piece of artwork is printed onto a transfer film with an adhesive backing so it can be heat pressed onto clothing. By having a simplified application process we are able to offer minimum order quantities to 12 shirts per print location, no matter unlimited colors within artwork.
Want a realistic photo printed onto a t-shirt? Have extremely fine details within your art? Have a very specific color fade in your artwork? With water based transfers prints can achieve a similar detail quality as a standard photo printer. Water based ink prints images directly onto a transfer film which is then coated with an heat activated adhesive. Direct-To-Film Printing is able to maintain all the same details you can see when viewing art on a screen. Artwork will be as clear as what you provide so vector files or images with at least 300dpi are preferred.
Art application with heat transfers is simple process. Clothing is placed onto the heat press, art is set in the desired location, the press is held down for approximately 10-15 seconds, and Voile! It requires minimal setup time and application is the same across all fabrics (heat press time will vary).
Custom size labeling is a finishing touch to make your custom clothing truely yours. With Water Based Heat Transfers we can apply custom size labels to a greater variety of products, including high pile fleece in hoodies. Adding your custom branding to a size label is a small detail that goes a long ways to increase brand association and awareness with your customer.
